This was one of our coolest family sessions! Getting to photograph families doing what they love together is our absolute favorite. There is no better way to get authentic smiles and connection than to capture the actual activity in action. And when it’s all set against the stunning backdrop of Tahoe, the magic truly happens!
The Dean family asked if I would get on their boat to capture a day on their boat at Lake Tahoe, and of course I thought that was the coolest idea. We met at Jakes Landing - a super convenient boat slip rental location on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, California. We started with a few shots near the beach to get the nice family portraits before the wind and water took over on the boat.

After getting family portraits on the beach, everyone got dressed into their next wardrobe of Aviator Nation sweatshirts- perfect for snuggles on the boat! We captured shots of everyone wakesurfing, and then got plenty of candid moments filled with cuddles and togetherness.
