Last year we had the pleasure of photographing Rae's high school senior portraits that doubled as a family session! Their session was a perfect example of how we accomplish multiple portrait styles in one session. We love it when families join on high school senior sessions. Of course the main purpose is making the senior feel special, because after all, it is their moment to shine!
We showcased the different sides of what means the most to Rae at this point in time - ROTC, softball, and her family.
First, we focused on Rae's ROTC portraits in the studio. These images highlight one side of who she is, one that reflects discipline, service, and leadership. It was incredible to see her shift from athlete to cadet, showing the strength of her character in every photo. These portraits are a reminder of the different ways young people choose to challenge themselves and grow.
We then headed outdoors for Rae's sports portraits. With softball gear in hand and determination written all over her face, she brought the same energy she carries onto the field right into her photos. Sports portraits are such a fun way to showcase dedication, teamwork, and personal passion. They are not just action shots, they are memories of the commitment and effort it takes to play the game.
To finish the session, we went into the trees for some gorgeous fall colors for full family portraits. Fall is such a perfect season for family photos. The crisp air, warm light, and colorful leaves create a beautiful backdrop, but more than that, fall always feels like a season of togetherness. The Clyne family laughed, hugged, and shared moments that were as genuine as they were photogenic.
The most special part of this shoot were the candid moments we got of Rae and her brother climbing trees and jumping rocks in the river. This made for seriously sentimental and memory-filled moments.
